Meet The HOW Poohbah event at
INSPIRE, in the gay village of Toronto.

Everyone agreed the evening was a great success. It was a memorable collection of new and old faces and everyone joined in the fun. The meal was good, the service was great, and the conversation and laughs went on till late in the evening. Thanks guys, for making my week special!
David is among the newest members of HOW and hails from the greater metropolitan area of Toronto. He was not warned before he arrived. Fortunately, DJ provided some peaceful buffer to the rowdiness at hand.
DJ is among the original members of HOW and hails from the greater metropolitan area of Toronto. DJ suggested Inspire as the location for our dinner. It turned out to be an excellent choice. Good food, delicious waiters, intimate and easy. Well some of us were.
Johnny Mac is also long-time HOWster living close at hand to "the village". He arranged the dinner two weeks prior which The Poohbah had to reschedule because of an accident. JohnM is never without a witty, off-the-wall remark.
Alexander is ... OH! that's me! ... a fairly recent HOWster and a resident deep in the heart of the Toronto gay village. He's the guy on HOW who never lurks. Ok, so I noticed the waiter but I have to say the spring rolls were delicious too.
Duane is a long-time HOWster spouse, being The Poohbah's other half. Columbus, OH is about a 6 hour drive from Toronto, not including ogling time for the cute border guards in uniform. Duane is rarely at a loss for words and kept me laughing all evening.
ALL HAIL TO THE POOHBAH! And here he is, our great and wise leader. John had a foot incident recently and was not able to go dancing this time. However I suspect he and Duane found a special way to celebrate Duane's birthday while they were here.
StephenW travelled all the way from New Mexico to join us (and spend a few days as Alexander's guest). A relatively recent HOWster, Stephen was wide-eyed at the sights of the "big gay city". He is even more charming in person, embodying grace, intellect, charm and boyish humour.
Dan joined us as Joe's guest and lives in a smaller centre outside of Toronto. He was made to feel welcome and fit right in with the rowdiness of the rest of us! Hopefully we will start to see Dan regularly. How about it, Joe?
Joe, another southern Ontario member, joined HOW shortly after the Toronto November dinner which is where I had the pleasure of meeting him first. Joe's been making some pretty radical life changes since the last dinner and took this opportunity to let his hair down. As you can clearly see ... :-)
Well, someone had to take the pictures, right? John, another long-term HOWster, is based in New York but travels to Toronto frequently. He was the only one who managed to get the waiter's phone number. Must be that out-of-town hutzpah, yes?
And speaking about the waiter ... Matt was a very good sport and certainly did a lot to enhance the frivolity of the evening. He was also extremely attentive and the business of food and drink was executed with distinction. Thank you, Matt!
Finally a few more shots taken candidly round the table. For all you HOWsters in other cities ... the challenge is on! These get-togethers are a wonderful way of meeting new people, putting faces to postings, and just having a great evening out! And thanks, also to JohnW and Duane for some additional pics!
