Pics mainly shot May 12 - 16, 2001 during my recent trip to BC to meet my dad Gordon, sister Karen and brother Brent for the first time.
So let me introduce the clan: Phina, my dad's other half; Brent, my brother; Alex, your hero; Jen, Brent's only daughter; Gordon, my dad; Karen, my sister; and Tracey, Karen's youngest daughter.
Shot in Brent's backyard.
Just the kids:
Brent (35), Karen (39) and Alex (46).
And the girls: Reneé, Brent's wife; Tracey (12), Phina, Karen and Jen (9).
Taken the afternoon I arrived, May 12.
I spent Sunday (Mother's Day) with the clan above (except Phina) and then my dad and I hung out and had a beer at a local pub. When we got back, dad and Phina made a nice barbecue dinner.
This is their lovely kitchen.
I really love this picture of my dad.
This is his "shop" where he goes to smoke, play on the computer, and tinker in his own world.
Tuesday, May 15, I headed over to Gibson's on the ferry from Horseshoe Bay. My sister Karen and her other half, Tom, took me for a boat ride.
This is on the dock of a local campsite.
Finally I get to take a picture!
This is Karen with Tom. Tom is currently working as a beachcomber. The CBC series from a few years ago was filmed right in town.
Karen's other daughter is Michelle who will be 19 very soon.
She took a break from McDonald's where she is working part-time finishing school.
Here's a very nice shot of all of us kids and their dad. Was he ever beaming during the whole trip!
Our connection was absolutely amazing; we all enjoyed each other's company and it seemed like we'd known each other for years.
You may remember my beloved orange tabby Orson.
Incredibly, Brent had a similar cat who died about the same age and date. Here's Primo taking a snooze with his favourite pal.
No way am I going to be left out when it comes to cats!
Dad, me, Brent and Karen each have a minimum of two cats at the moment. Here's Keaton doing her Parrot routine.
